Specialist Online Dyslexia Tutoring for children aged 7 - 12

My name is Eoin, and I founded ReadWithMe.ie after years of teaching pupils on a daily basis who have severe dyslexia — children who were bright, creative, and working incredibly hard, but whose reading difficulties were quietly chipping away at how they felt about themselves.

I work full-time in one of only four specialist reading schools in Ireland, where I have spent years delivering structured literacy every single day alongside 15 years of primary teaching experience. ReadWithMe.ie brings that same level of specialist expertise to families across Ireland — online, in the evenings, with no travel and no disruption to your day.

I am also a qualified coach. For many children with dyslexia, the reading difficulty is only part of the challenge. Years of feeling "behind" or "different" can quietly erode a child's belief in themselves. Coaching is woven into every session — not as an add-on, but as a core part of how I work.

Sessions use a structured literacy programme I have developed and refined over years of teaching, drawing on the most rigorously researched approaches in the field. I use a blended approach — structured literacy, games, tutorial videos, and personalised activities — to keep learning active, age-appropriate, and genuinely engaging.

Every pupil also gets access to a growing library of short lesson videos and follow-up activities, available to watch and revisit any time. Learning does not stop between sessions. Your child can consolidate what they have covered at their own pace, in their own time — which is exactly how lasting progress is made.

And I believe strongly that parents are a child's most powerful learning partner. That is why parent communication and support are built into everything I do — not offered as an afterthought

1-to-1 Tutoring Sessions

The most personalised way to make real, lasting progress.

Every child with dyslexia is different — and a one-size-fits-all approach simply does not work. That is why each one-hour session is built around your child specifically: where they are right now, how they learn best, and what they need to move forward with confidence.

Every lesson follows my structured literacy programme — a carefully developed approach grounded in the leading research on how children with dyslexia learn to read. It is explicit, systematic, and multisensory, combining the most effective elements from across the field of structured literacy into a method that is continuously refined through real classroom and tutoring experience.

Sessions are combined with engaging digital tools, games, and activities that keep your child active, motivated, and genuinely enjoying their learning.

As part of every 1-to-1 package, your child also gets:

Access to a growing library of short lesson videos to revisit between sessions
Regular new content added to reinforce and consolidate what has been covered
All resources emailed after every lesson
A parent update after each session so you always know exactly what was covered and what to practise at home

A parent update after each session so you always know exactly what was covered and what to practise at home

Sessions are available on weekday evenings and during the day in the summer months. In person lessons are only available 3km of the Dublin 18 area

Monthly block bookings are available, offering better value and consistency — both of which matter enormously when building reading skills.

How It Works — Your First Steps With ReadWithMe.ie

Getting started is straightforward. Here is exactly what happens when you reach out:

Step 1 — Book a Free Discovery Call

Email me at info@readwithme.ie to book a free 30-minute call at a time that suits you. This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation — just the two of us talking about your child. We will cover what you are noticing at home and at school, what your child has already tried, any questions or concerns you have, and whether ReadWithMe.ie is the right fit for your family right now. There is absolutely no obligation to proceed.

Step 2 — Receive a Personalised Plan

After our call, I will put together a recommended programme tailored specifically to your child. This is based on their current reading level, their learning profile, and what you have shared with me about how they learn best. You will know exactly what we are working towards and why — before a single tutoring session begins.

Step 3 — Start Tutoring

Sessions take place on weekday evenings via Google Meet, from the comfort of your own home. Your child will need a device with a camera and microphone — that is all. I will be in touch before the first session to make sure everything is set up and your child feels ready and comfortable.

A Note on Safety

Your child's safety is my absolute priority. All sessions take place via Google Meet, and parents are warmly welcome to observe any session at any time — no need to ask permission. I follow strict child protection and online safety guidelines. You should feel completely confident about what is happening on screen.

What your child will need to get started

Online Sessions take place via Google Meet . This is free download and straightforward to set up.

During 1-to-1 sessions, I use free interactive browser-based tools — including Canva Whiteboard— to make lessons hands-on and engaging. These are accessed directly through a web browser, with no additional apps or downloads needed. Links to all tools will be sent to you in advance of every session, so your child simply clicks and they are in.

For small group sessions, I also use Pear Deck, an interactive tool that lets every pupil in the group respond and participate at the same time. Again, this is browser-based and requires no download. A link will always be sent ahead of the session.

If you are not sure which platform will work best for your child's device, just ask — I am happy to help you work it out before the first session.

Important things to note

To get the most from our sessions, a formal educational psychologist's report is helpful — but not always required. If your child is waiting for an assessment, please do get in touch. We can have a chat about where your child is right now and work out together whether ReadWithMe.ie is the right fit at this stage.

Before tutoring begins, I carry out an initial assessment with your child. This helps me build a clear picture of their current reading level and identify the specific areas we need to focus on. Every child is different, and this step makes sure we start in exactly the right place.

I want to be honest with you about one thing: progress takes commitment. The sessions work best when the work done in them is reinforced at home between lessons. I will always make this as straightforward as possible for you — but your involvement as a parent genuinely makes a difference to how quickly your child moves forward.

To make sure you always feel informed and confident in supporting your child, I provide:

Parental support documents after each session, explaining clearly what we covered and what to practise at home
All resources emailed in advance of every lesson, so your child is prepared and ready to go
A follow-up summary after each session, so nothing gets lost or forgotten

You will never be left wondering what is happening or what to do next.
